National Running Day

I believe that running is good for the soul. As today is National Running Day, I began with a solid 5.5 miles. The KOA owner set me out on a gorgeous loop of horse farms and private homes on a gravel road. I'm at 448/1000, my goal for the year.

While getting gas in Missouri, I walked the pile of us, including both dogs, to Sonic for ice cream. An El Camino (foreshadowing) cuts us off and asks if the dogs were Pekinese. His hootchi mama points to their Peke laying on chair rests and introduces us before they u-turn and disappear. After our order arrives, the manager comes to ask if Mr. El Camino was bothering us and mentions that Mr. El C is the biggest drug dealer around. 😳. Who knew they liked Pekingese? Needless to say, I didn't get a good picture of the guy.

Thankfully, that was our only excitement for today. Woke up late, swam, drove to Tulsa, Oklahoma and will grill and sleep. The KOA is part of the casino, very flat and zero to do but eat and sleep! Tomorrow is an early start so that we get to Amarillo, Texas for a day of sun and swimming before we get to Roswell to find some cute aliens.

Oh! Before we left, I had AT&T enable Kristian's iPhone to be a wifi hotspot! So that means we can run the iPads on wifi if we so wish, in the car. (or if Teddy so wishes!)
